Learn Together: AI Detective
Nine short activities a child and an adult do together, on paper. Kids learn how AI helpers find patterns, why they can be wrong, and the habit that matters most: check, and ask a trusted adult when something seems off.
In 30 seconds
- Everything happens on paper. The adult plays the AI helper, so no chatbot is needed.
- The child never needs an account, a photo, their name or an upload.
- There are no grades. The adult asks the child to explain what they checked and why.
- Each activity has answers and tips for the adult, so you don't need to know about AI first.
- It comes with an adult's membership.

| Information Detective | Checking where information came from |
| Build a Pretend Helper | Designing a helper that says "I don't know" when the facts are missing |

How a session works
Print or open the activity
Each one is a page or two. Read the adult notes first; they take a couple of minutes.
Play it together
The adult reads the helper's answers from the page. The child investigates, sorts or builds.
Talk it over
Each activity ends with a few questions, with answers for the adult. Ask your child to explain in their own words.
Keep one takeaway
Write down one thing your child checked and one thing to try next time.
Key idea
The goal isn't to make kids fear AI or trust it. It's to make checking a habit, and asking a trusted adult a normal thing to do.
Who it's for
- Parents, grandparents and caregivers who want to talk about AI at home.
- Teachers and tutors looking for a screen free activity.
- Members who want to share what they're learning with their own kids.
You decide whether an activity suits your child. The activities use simple language and pretend examples, such as made up menus and prices.
Does my child need an account?
No. The adult's membership gives access to the activities. The child never signs up, and no child information is collected.
Do I need to know about AI to run these?
No. Each activity includes notes and answers for the adult, written in plain language.
Do we need a computer or a chatbot?
No. Everything works on paper, and the adult plays the helper.
